THE MOST EFFECTIVE MARKETING IS POWERFUL STORYTELLING

Salt Life Media has been helping businesses tell their brand story for 18 years.

For eighteen years, Salt Life Media, known as Utah Stories Creative Services, has been a trusted partner for local businesses. Our clients have included breweries, restaurants, ski resorts, jewelers, chocolatiers, and more. With over 400 local businesses served, we’ve helped tell their stories and build their brands across multiple platforms. Whether it’s creating initial brand awareness or helping long-standing institutions maintain loyal customers, Salt Life Media delivers results.

Our work includes video production, ad campaign design, Instagram reels, and print ads, all crafted to resonate with audiences and drive engagement.

As the saying goes, "The proof is in the pudding." Salt Life Media’s commitment to quality and satisfaction has earned us long-standing relationships—50% of our current accounts have been with us for over eight years. We focus on designing ads and creating content that readers actively support. The bottom line: we craft stories and deliver content that transform readers into loyal customers for our advertisers.

Our Tribe – Unite the Clans!
The brands under our umbrella—Utah Stories, Utah Bites, Made in Utah Festival, and Faces of Utah—have cultivated a community of residents and consumers who seek “the best of local Utah.” These are individuals deeply engaged in their local community and marketplace, recognizing that the social fabric of society is woven not just with religious and cultural values, but also with vibrant economies that support local entrepreneurs.

Our mission is to unite Utahns in a shared call to action: to champion locally-owned businesses and foster thriving local economies. We believe that the bonds of a community go beyond culture or religion; they are strengthened by shared support for local makers, producers, and businesses. Our readers vote with their dollars, supporting the heartbeat of Utah and uniting the clans of local creators across the state.

Our Digital Commitment

Salt Life Media has always been digital-first, starting in 2006 as a video-hosting platform for hyper-local content. Over the years, we’ve embraced YouTube, Instagram Reels, and social media to help partners connect with younger audiences who spend more time on their phones than ever.

The Utah Stories podcast, shared through Instagram Reels and TikTok, tackles hot-button issues like homelessness and housing, engaging Gen Z and Millennials (20–43-year-olds) who are increasingly politically active. Our Reels drive thousands of comments, shares, and views by addressing the topics that matter most to these audiences.

Our Audiences

Salt Life Media offers distinctive audiences depending on who our customers are seeking to target.

Utah Bites is the ultimate guide for food enthusiasts who dine out frequently—often 5-6 times per week—and are always searching for the latest and most exciting culinary destinations. Whether it’s uncovering trendy new hotspots in Salt Lake City, savoring the fine dining experiences of Park City, or discovering hidden gems in Ogden, Utah Bites connects readers with the best of Utah’s thriving dining scene. It’s the go-to resource for foodies eager to explore the ever-evolving world of local cuisine.

Utah Stories reaches 58% woman over the age of 40, who eat out 3-4 times per week. It’s in the purse or glove compartment of thousands of ladies (and gentlemen) who are reading about local issues but looking for the best way to experience Utah’s best places. We reach adventure-seeking people through our Moab section. We cover Ogden, Sugar House and Salt Lake City through our regular coverage and twenty contributors.

Faces of Utah is a premium magazine celebrating Utah's leading entrepreneurs and influential figures, mailed directly to some of the most affluent homes in the region. This high-end, perfect-bound publication highlights the top innovators and business leaders shaping the state. Blending elements of a business magazine with a consumer focus, Faces of Utah bridges the gap between high-earning executives and the businesses driving Utah’s growth and evolution.

Utah Stories on Instagram/TikTok: Our Instagram Reels bring younger Utahns closer to the local stories, entrepreneurs, and businesses that define the state. Reaching a diverse, urban audience, we’ve grown from 8,000 to 31,000 followers in just a year by engaging with their interests in housing, urban development, brew pubs, and restaurants. This growth reflects our commitment to listening to their voices and delivering the content they care about.
